While we do support cloud saves, we still recommend that you manually back up your save files so that you can recover your progress in case of an OS reinstallation or save file corruption.
Steam (PC)
Your save files are located at:
C:\Users\%user%\Saved Games\Avalanche Studios\CotWTheAngler\Saves\%SteamID%\
Just right click on this folder, select copy, and then paste it in the desired location.
You can also store your backup on a USB drive or an online drive (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.).
To restore your progress, paste your backup folder back into the original save file location, overwriting the current one.
Epic Games (PC)
Your save files are located at:
C:\Users\%user%\Saved Games\Avalanche Studios\CotWTheAngler\Saves\%EpicGamesID%\
Just right click on this folder, select copy, and then paste it in the desired location.
You can also store your backup on a USB drive or an online drive (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.).
